This happened earlier this year but I thought of sharing it anyway. I was at the airport waiting for Mohannad to arrive to Melbourne. I felt a bit hungry that night .. there was a delay on the flight as well we had to wait a couple of hours longer. So, I went to get a snack from the vending machine .. inserted 2 coins and they got stuck in the coin slot. I tried to find one of the airport staff who can help me to get my money back. I didn’t want to do anything stupid like shaking the machine or something. Anyway, I asked one of the security guys about it .. and he said it isn’t our responsibility.. there is a phone number on the machine, call them and report the issue. I called them … nobody answered, I expected that cos it was late at night.
The second morning I received a call from the same company asking about the issue and how much did I put in the machine. Two days later, I received this letter with 3 dollars attached to the back. I really appreciate that from them. I know it’s only $3 but what really matters to me is the idea of trusting the customer.
A few days ago something similar happened to me. I was at school the night before the folio day printing my designs. I sent a job to the printer and paid for that. The printer started the job .. and it cancelled it in the middle. I really felt upset about it, cos I paid for like 8 A3s which is a lot of money :S. I went to the IT administrator and told him about the incident and he recharged my print card with the money I lost while printing. It was as easy as asking how much did you spend? no proof of error or anything at all. It’s all about trust I guess, which really made me thinking this is how we should deal with everyone out there.. maybe .. :).

yesssSS! I have watched more than 300 episodes so far :D. I am a big fan of “One Piece”, it’s the only anime series I’m watching these days. So, thanks to everyone who made this possible :D hahahaa .. special thanks to Aymen for his help :P.
to celebrate this time .. I went looking for a nice One Piece wallpaper to use :P, and usually fan-art wallpapers aren’t that good, but I was really amazed by this fantastic “piece” of art done by arnistotle, the colours, details, style .. everything is really fantastic. you should check it out.

Oh what a relief, today was our last day of this semester. I was busy and kind of stressed out last week and I didn’t get much of sleep the last couple of days. although I’m glad it’s over and I have handed in all of my work on time, I feel a bit disappointed with the final outcomes of my designs. They didn’t come as what I expected to be, and the printing quality wasn’t that good as well :(. Anyway what’s done is done, and things will get better next semester hopefully. It’s the time to enjoy the break and start doing the things on my long “To Do List” :).
Another thing this morning was the announcement of the “white” 3G iphone and the availability in Australia next month. I don’t care about the specs :D, I just want a white apple iphone :D. It’s good to see apple bringing back the white colour to their products. I should get one soon :D.

I haven’t been writing or touching my blog for a while. I have been busy lately with uni projects. everything needs to be handed in this Tuesday 10th June. Luckily we’re having a public holiday this Monday which means one extra day to get things done. While we’re busy handing in our stuff, Steve Jobs will kick off WWDC 2008, I’m pretty excited to see what they have for us this time.. and the “one more thing” of this event :D. It’ll be over soon and I can go back to watch One Piece :D.. clean my room :S .. and do a lot of stuff on hold for now. I better go back and work .. see you soon.

I don’t know how did that happen, I just found it like this when I took it out of my pocket. I have to admit, I was carelessly carrying it with no case or anything to protect it :(. I don’t think this can be fixed, maybe it’s the time to get a new one :(. It is still working though, I can hear the photos inside :P.

I went to ”mag nation” the other day, one of my favourite spots here in Melbourne. It’s basically a shop full of magazines or “the land of magazines” as they call themselves :). You’re welcome to sit and browse as many magazines as you want, take as much time as you need and of course purchasing magazines. They sell coffee as well, so you can enjoy reading and drinking coffee and spend more time there. It’s really great idea and they profit from both magazines and coffee. Anyway, I went to buy a cup of coffee when the lady over there said: here.. roll the dice & if you get an even number your coffee is for free :). I did it, and I got “6″.. cool.. I felt really lucky that day (which is something not usual for me :P or is it ?!).

I’ve always wished to have a really sweet dream.. in a fantasy world.. or meeting my someone :) maybe.. and you know what i always get? .. just the black screen :P just like when there is nothing to watch on TV and you turn it off :D, or sometimes things i really can’t remember when i wake up. Well yesterday i dreamt of something different.
These days I’m having a big problem with my sleeping pattern. My body just can’t accept to sleep like humans at night :S even when i’m really tired i just can’t, yeah i think i’m turning into vampire or something :P. Anyway i slept at 9 in the morning and woke up around 11 in the evening :| .. i know that’s a lot .. :S. So, i had the time to dream of a lot of things which i really can’t remember right now. they were like flashes and uncompleted scenes. I only remember one thing: that i have 6 new emails in my inbox!!. Really stupid what kind of dreams is this :S. Well i woke up, started up my computer, checked my email.. surprise!! you’ve got 6 new emails !!! what the .. ?!.
There was nothing really important in the new messages .. but i got this weird feeling ..oh god my dream of having 6 new emails came true :D. Next time i wish i have a dream of something really cool.. :D so that thing come true :) as well.
oh well while i was tired of sleeping this whole time on bed, getting ready to wake up finally .. :) a solution to one of the puzzles in my all time favorite game “The Curse of Monkey Island” came to my mind :) .. i haven’t tried it yet .. but i think it will work .. just like the emails thing :P ..

i don’t know if it is a good thing to kick off the blog with :P .. anyway .. it happened earlier today .. i was watching TV then i fell asleep on the couch (it’s been a really lazy day), when i heard the fire alarm in the building .. this isn’t the first time .. last time was just some guys cooking :S. so .. i assumed it is probably something similar .. i went back to my room tried to call the reception but nobody answered (look how careless i was). i took my time putting some clothes on .. thinking .. should i take my Nintendo DS with me :S ? it might take a while to wait outside the building.i left my room .. very calm and careless :( .. used the elevator :| instead of the stairs.when i got out of the elevator .. oh .. this thing is getting serious :| the smoke doors were shut .. i went out very quickly with everybody outside the building .. and waited ..the firefighters were inside looking at the electrical room on ground floor .. there is smoke coming out of it .. i was a bit worried .. i live in the 2nd floor .. and that room is located just 1 floor beneath mine :(.thank god everything went ok .. and they let us in around an hour later. i said to myself this could be a sign or something .. i have to take things like that seriously .. who knows maybe next time.. (hopefully there is no next time) ~
